Dio quietly cursed the rain. At least he didn't have to actually drive in it. He kept an eye out the window, watching students and teachers alike scrambling to keep dry. Somehow it was funny to him...then he spotted someone that caught his eye.

"Stop here," he told his chauffeur.

An eyebrow was raised in response, but no protest. Dio rolled down his window.

"Nina...You're soaked."

The door opened.

"Would you like a ride?"

Well, it seems her prayers had some true. And with an extra touch of it being Dio Brandon himself! She couldn't have lucked out better. She didn't even respond before gathering up her book bag and purse.

"I can't think you enough, Mr. Brando!" she exclaimed as she hopped into car. Warm, dry, and a feel of luxury. Oh yes, this was definitely a miracle. She let out a long sigh of relief once the car was moving.

"I'm usually not so caught off guard... but I needed to finish my article and, well... as you can see, I wasn't prepared for rain," she laughed nervously.

"Mm, I see...Always a good student, aren't you?"

He looked her over and made a sympathetic face. He slipped off his jacket and offered it to her.

"Here. You look cold. Now...do you need to go straight home or would you like to rest at my house for a little while? I can have dinner made for you."

"W-well," Nina mentally paused. Her mother wouldn't be home until late, so she'd have to fend for herself at home. A warm cooked meal seemed too good to pass up. On the other hand, this was Mr. Brando's house. She wasn't certain she could handle being in there, especially given...

Okay, no skirting the issue here, as he fit her tastes perfectly. He was older, foreign, and a debonair sort of handsomeness that came with it. She knew she was attracted to him. And that meant being in his house was probably a bad thing, but...

...a growl of her stomach probably answered for her. Skipping lunch was a bad idea.
