Who: Yamazaki, May Lee Where: Clairbourn Gym When: Wednesday, Nov. 19, night What: May Lee's upset; Yamazaki's gonna go see what he can do about that. Warnings: None
"KYAAAH!" May Lee cried out, punctuating a series of kicks that nearly tour the sand bag open with a power filled side kick. The chain that held the bag threatened to snap, but thankfully didn't. She didn't want to have to pay to replace the damn thing again after breaking it last time. Perhaps it was a good time for a breather.
She grabbed her towel from the bench and plopped herself down. There was an obvious wince of pain as she did so. A fire on her nerves shot through her formerly broken leg, causing her to clench down with her hand and grit her teeth. She wouldn't even have this if it wasn't for him...
As she settled onto the bench, Yamazaki crossed over to her, his lips tightening as he saw her clench onto her leg. He barely touched her shoulder before straddling the bench next to her, his legs wide to make room for the board between.
"Hey, Kaeru." He offered something like a smile. The sweat that was glistening on her forehead made it obvious how hard she'd been working since she'd gotten there. It was one of the things he admired; her determination. "You'd think that sandbag killed your dad or something, the way you're beatin' the shit out of it." He reached to the floor, then offered her the water bottle that had been sitting there. "You're upset."
The pain started to settle as she became aware of Yamazaki's presence. Always a good way to calm her down, really...Something about him always managed to do so. She pulled a long series of gulps from the water before wiping her face dry and leaning against the broad chest of her boyfriend. It had been awhile...she could use the comfort.
"I know...and really I shouldn't be. It's still my fault that I ran in headlong. But...if it wasn't for that rat bastard, that gang would have never been here to begin with!"
His hand fell around her shoulder, letting her rest against him. He knew it was about the events earlier this year, and that this attack on that Lelouch guy had spurred it. When she spoke though, he grimaced.
"That ain't completely true. There'd been gang activity for a while here." He was very careful in how he said it; he still hadn't confided in her about his connection to such activity. "Before he showed up, for sure. Besides, he's as much to blame for you still being around as I am, y'know? Don't be so judgmental."
