Sakura nearly yelped and jumped, rolling back to get away from the edge to keep from falling over the edge, and stomped over to the source of the voice. She stopped short when she saw the blonde hair and haughty smirk.
"Deidara... Nice to see you too." She smiled at him.
Sensing that Sakura had finally found him, Deidara heaved a very dramatic sigh as he put the pencil and the notebook down on his lap.
"It seems it has finally happened," he looked up at her sadly, his blue eyes unable to hide that mock in them as he kept himself from laughing- he was a good actor after all. "I'm finally part of your wretched school."
"So you say." He smirked as he moved through the pages of his sketchbook to one sketch she would probably find interesting. "I'm not so happy of being here you know..."
The sketch was actually Sakura standing beside what seemed two swans, eying them curiously. It was actually a sketch he had done but a few days ago out of a simple memory. He couldn't help but smirk. Why he had drawn her was unknown but he had fun. He turned to look at her curiously.
Sakura stood after a moment of silence and walked to Deidara, arm outstretched to offer him his precious book back. "It's so accurate, even after this time." Her soft, appreciative smile turned wicked.
"Too bad you can't remember that I said I wasn't dying until I got my gold medal at the Olympics."
"And did you?" He asked amused as he took his book from her and held it tightly under his arm eying her sideways.
"Because if you did, we're pretty far away from the ground up here... I wouldn't mind watching you jump." He joked pretending to loose his balance for the kicks.
Deidara's words drew up memories. Standing on the edge of the mat, for the last pass on her floor routine. She heard the beat that was her cue, and took of, building speed before throwing herself into the air, body twisting. Her eyes fell shut as she relived the experience in her mind, and she smiled. What if she had just spiraled into the sky, reaching the clouds, and kept going?
"Well," he quickly turned around to face her, his light blue eyes radiating with excitement as he leaned in towards her, like some child whispering a secret, "I will create something to fly."
It was like loosing his breath for an instant before he realized he was very close to her. He looked from the green eyes of hers to the ground and finally back to the horizon. He couldn't help but blush but he made it seem like if he were trapped in his own daydreams of soaring the sky. It would come true, he knew it.
Sakura's eyes flew wide open as Deidara murmured his secret in her ear. Fly? He wanted to fly... She closed her eyes, imagining Deidara flying through the sky, graceful as she knew the artist to be, without a care in the world. It suited him, she realized. He was such a free, artistic spirit...
"Yes it would," he heaved a sigh going back to the normal and casual sounding Deidara as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I got a lot to do before I get that far..."

"Don't make me push you over the edge, you total tard." She scowled and sighed, slumping against the smoke stack.
