WHO: Orihime, Axel, Roxas
WHAT: Trying to help someone out lands Orihime in hot water. What to do? Run like crazy!
WHEN: May 29, 2008 - Evening
WHERE: Clairbourn Streets

Orihime's flats pounded the pavement as she fled, pumping her arms, urging her legs to go faster as her floral skirt flapped about her knees. This was one of the few times she was grateful for the days when the girls had to run a marathon while the boys got to do something more fun, like play basketball. She was pretty fleet for someone of her diminutive stature, but the sound of running feet behind her did little to bolster her confidence. How many were there? Five? Ten? She didn't really know, just that there were a lot of them!

She didn't regret what she'd done, not for an instant. When she saw that girl disappear all of a sudden into that alley, Orihime didn't hesitate to dive in after, surprising the girl's startled attacker with two swift jabs to the neck and a flip that sent him hurtling into the wall, collapsing to the ground unconscious with a groan. She just hadn't expected to see a lot /more/ of them blinking at her from the shadows before they rose, as one, and went after her.

Hopefully the girl was okay. She seemed too shaken to do much more than faint, unfortunately, but at least Orihime had their attention. Now she just needed to figure out a way to go. Not home. If they followed her there, they'd find out where she lived. She needed to find a place with a lot of people, which...unfortunately...wasn't really anywhere close to her grocery route. Darn, she'd dropped her groceries too, what a waste of perfectly good leeks.

What mattered now, though, was getting away. Orihime turned a sharp corner, bolting down Oak Street according to the sign. But her flight was brought up short as she nearly ran right into the chain-link fence blocking her path, an enormous construction site behind it. She could make out the shapes of bulldozers and other machines, yawning pits in the ground, and large mounds of earth and rubble. She didn't look back as she started to climb, careful not to snag her skirt on the top of the fence as she dropped roughly to the ground and stumbled forward again. Only seconds were allowed before she heard the clanging of the fence as the men giving chase began to mount it like spiders. This wasn't the best way to come, she thought with sinking despair, but there wasn't time to go anywhere else.
