Who: Johnny, Anji When: 4/17 Where: Anji's place of residence What: Anji finally got Johnny back on his feet, Johnny wishes to show random acts of kindness. Warnings: uhm... will change as the situation changes
The day was long yet this time not so troublesome. Since meeting his self-proclaimed prodigy, Anji had had a bounce in his usual buoyant step, and sparkle that complimented his dark black eyes. Eyes that grew wide as he opened the door to his flat to find it shimmering as the day he had first put it together.
"Kore...?" He looked about, dragging his finger along the counters, wondering if a English maid had broken in for a drive-by cleaning.
Janice perked her head, twitching her tufted ears as the transfer student roused a knock at Johnny's door and slid the wooden frame open. Peeking in with his typical curious face he gave a small and cheerful wave with only a hint of scrutiny.
"So! Want to tell me who you blackmailed today?" Anji chortled lightly.
When the one who had graciously allowed him to stay in his quarters finally arrived, Johnny glanced up for a moment. It was as if he were in a small daydream, and perhaps he was.
"I am to tell you blackmailed me?" A small grin cross his face. "My dear Anji, all such actions taken today were done out of the goodness of my own heart. I thought that I'd surprise you." He continued to gently stroke his hand along the small cat's back.
"You like it... yes?" Hopefully, everything was put back in its proper place. Every now and then, Johnny would take a book or two to read and forget to put them in back.
This wasn't exactly the norm. Not that Anji was complaining. The sentiment was indeed appreciated! And it showed in the delight of his smile and the rather gentle way he plucked Johnny's wrist up from the cat and hauled him to his feet.
"You saved me the trouble. For that I am grateful! Though... I can't help but wonder.." He glanced about the thief's room. Noting the open notepads on his desk and the half-hearted scribbles that looked like an abandoned essay.
"Just what.." He smirked lightly, suspicious, "your ulterior motive is, Johnny-san."
Johnny gave a soft chuckle as he lazily stood up. A soft grin crossed his lips as he lofted a brow towards Anji. The blonde then put a hand upon the other's shoulder and patted it a few times.
"Does one really need a reason to be helpful around the home?" He made his way out of his room, and glanced over his shoulder to check if his friend was following.
"If anything... I wish to show you my gratitude for all you've done for me."
