- I'm following way too many tv shows. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep this up. Sure, "following" is a slight exaggeration because even for the ones I like best, I watch the season premieres and can't remember how the last season ended, but still way too many tv shows.

- I finished posting Story of Faith three weeks ago, and I think that by now ( Read more... )

I don't know if fandom is shitty, but I know I haven't had fun in it in a while *shrugs*

I shouldn't have posted it at all. It would have saved me, you and anna_tarawiel some time.

Red wine + fav shows on Saturday night = best combination :-p

*hugs back*

I didn't want my time saved and I hope that at least part of the reason for writing SoF was for yourself. At least it's out there and ready, just in case the new episodes create a rush for fic! Probably won't but never say never!

And heliokleia isn't done with it! She brought the subject up herself on Sunday. :)

*hugs*

P.S. I'm with you on the red wine and a fave show on Saturday night...in my case at the moment it's Strictly Come Dancing! :D

To one extent or another, I always write for myself. Even when I wrote prompts or requests that weren't necessarily my cup of tea, I (partly) wrote for myself, for the kick of pulling it off. Of course, for prompts and requests at least, it's slightly better if the prompter/requester enjoys it too ;)

But I post to share and because I like to hear what people think about it, and it certainly doesn't feel like it. There are maybe two or three people (especially one person on FFN) who left... I dunno, "detailed" comments, and I really appreciate it, but I doubt their lives would have been changed if I hadn't posted the fic ;) Which might have been better for me.

PS: No, you, watching dance shows? Unbelievable *g*

I'm sorry about Story of Faith. It may be simply that the target audience for the genre (3-some with incest?) is small, and then there's the fact that it's 4th-season PB. All of those were avoidance factors for me, much as a basic M/L story is always welcome. I could not watch S4 of that show, and I kind of regret S3, really! Maybe even S2, except for Kellerman. Kelllllerman.

What are all of the TV shows of the moment? I feel almost as if we've cut down, because so many we loved concluded or were cancelled, and there is a lot of "meh" out there right now. Except on cable, which has got me hooked on a couple of things.

I love Autumn, but it never feels like Autumn where I live. And that makes me kind of melancholy, actually. That and the kids being older (one out of the house, even), and the thought that there's no more weekend soccer in the fall, no trick-or-treating... I really enjoyed both of those.

Ah, a factor I hadn't considered: me being victim of my reputation - if I have one ;)

But no, Story of Faith isn't M/L or M/S/L. It's a fix-it fic, and I tried to make it as canon as possible. There's Michael/Sara romance (sort of) but in a gen context, if that makes any sense: I haven't written a romance, I have written a story including a romance. At least, I tried to. The idea was to take into account all of the canon and "fix" what I couldn't stomach in S4 and in The Final Break. I'm not too happy with the plot itself because I "had" to go where the last seasons went with The Company and conspiracy stuff, but I did fix what I wanted to fix so I'm fine with my meh plot.

I liked S2, although not nearly as much as the first season of course, and hated S3 the first time I watched it. Being a Sara, and a Michael/Sara fan, I don't see how I could have enjoyed it ^__^ I was more okay with it when I rewatched it last Summer, because I knew Sara would be back even though I'll admit it was ridiculous. S4 is... let's say I watched it ( ... )

Sara coming back in S4 just made the whole concept unworkable for me, much as I hated how they removed her from S3! I don't think anyone was happy with how that went down. :( So, it's no even part of my canon-- it's just off the edge of the map or something. Kind of like later seasons of Supernatural, which I was as passionate about as PB! Argh.

Once a show starts crapping all over its own canon, I usually can't tolerate it.

We don't have snow here in the winter-- it's just wet and rainy and cold, so more like Autumn in lots of places but without the good color! That's actually okay with me. Three years of living in Illinois pretty much did me in for snow. It can start as early as late October there, and last as late as April, and in between it never leaves. It just becomes packed-down, filthy, and hazardous, and who wants that ( ... )

All in all, in what they did of the show post-S2, the explanation wasn't too... unbelievable. I hated so much that they killed her, how and why, that after initial doubts, I was willing to buy it. Still not a smart move from the writers to kill her in the first place, but since it was bound to turn crappy, at least, I had this silver lining ( ... )
