But it tends to sort itself out when it becomes clear (over time) that those people are NEVER going to say anything to you, ever. They're mostly lurkers, and they like something they're reading but they don't want to interact ( ... )

Yes, I got the 'never going to say anything' part and wasn't really expecting them to speak anyway. To be fair, one of them did drop a comment after friending, but it was an exception. I'm probably sticking to literally to the words. I don't imagine that everyone on my friends list is my BFF, yada yada, and I'm fully aware I'm not the best commenter, but since it's called 'friending', there should be a minimum of interaction at some point, shouldn't it? Maybe as a hint, I should post a how-to use comms and/or RSS feeds :-p
What I find more puzzling is people who post public entries, and then don't respond to comments from anyone whom they haven't mutually 'friended.'Some people do that? Odd way indeed. And I understand that one can't always reply to all the comments, especially ( ... )
