Wow.

One of the things I like about your writing (apart from the different genres that you are capable of dipping into) is your use of specifics, details, the way that every word serves a purpose, be it characterization or atmosphere, etc.

I did love Quantum Leap as a child, so for me reading this was quite nostalgic (unlike Sam, and luckily for me, in every sense of the word).

Thanks for writing this. I enjoyed it very much.

Well, I'm lazy, so every word better has to serve a purpose! ;) (In real, I often edit a lot... except that I don't have this kind of time for this challenge.)

I loved Quantum Leap too. I still do even if, luckily, I'm not obssesed with it anymore. I'm happy it made you leap a few years back ;) Thank you for the kind comment :)

Very nice! I especially like the first few paragraphs. Also, I love that this seems to be just an everyday moment instead of a big crisis. Sam always pulls it together and does what he has to in an emergency; it's in quiet moments of downtime that he's most susceptible to these kinds of feelings.

(Also, I wanted to let you know that the link you posted in dr_beckett is broken.)

Indeed. He had a couple of big crisis, but as far as I remember, they were triggered by something. Here, I just wanted to write a snapshot, a little slice of a 'regular' leap with Sam feeling a bit blue. I'm glad it worked for you and you enjoyed this :)

(Thanks for the heads-up and sorry you had to look for the fic. All fixed now.)

This was a great little story. The "voices" of Sam and Al really rang true.
