*flails* This is so, so perfect. :D

This fic is why I love this pairing, and this show. It's just amazing, and I really enjoy the way you write Carey. All the men on this show are so aggressive and alpha, which he was in this, but also a spoiled little boy fighting to get what he wanted. And Kalinda toying with him was even more fun to read, you have such a great grasp on these characters and the dynamic between them.

I loved the incorporation of the prompt at the end, how their battle of wills ended with him getting what he wanted, but not really, because she'll always come out on top.

Yeah, this was amazing and thank you so, so much for writing it for me, it's exactly what I wanted and even more than I could have hoped for. :)

Cary has sharp teeth and a healthy ego, but he still is young and rather inexperienced in comparison with other characters. It's fun playing on those two sides. And as much as I've come to like him - I didn't care for him that much at first - there is no way he gets, and keeps, the upper hand on Kalinda *g*

The prompt sounded like such a great punch line, I couldn't help using it as closing line. It prompted me to write in second person, which I've done only once before. I can't get it out of my head, now, BTW :-p

Seriously.. nice writing, and even though we have to agree that Cary is never getting Kalinda on the show, if it happened, it would probably be like that and no he can never win :D

He would never, ever get the upper hand. Or maybe a little bit for a little while, but nothing more.
Seriously, I don't know if he will "never win" but the fact is, so far... Kalinda has always owned him :-p

Awesome! Love the way you've captured their personality. I think for Cary to win, she really have to fall in love with him, which I hope she does, otherwise she always have the upper hand with everybody..

I tend to agree, especially given I wrote this during the first season. I wonder if she would be as... unreachable now. That being said, I love Kalinda, and I love she oftens has the upper hand :-p
