The Tears of Uther Pendragon II
As Arthur leads his men against King Cenred's army, Merlin must stop the evil Morgana from unleashing a skeleton army that would give the evil monarch a sure victory.
Will it sound a repeat to my last week's review that this episode was EPIC as well?
S3 started with all the darkness this story can bring showing glimpses how the characters will be in the future.
Two witch sisters that are determine to bring chaos to Camelot, a huge army of enemies behind the gates, a fearless and yet scary Arthur whom we see take tough decisions and sit in his father's chair and Merlin who becomes his necessity in every scene and shows his wisdom at the perfect moment at a perfect scene.
Last but not least...
The Great Dragon who saves Merlin and we see his cave. he will be an important ally in the future.
The army of the dead which was so scary and awesome.
Merlin/Morgana sword fight.
Perfect cinematography that many movies of such kind would envy, music and most of all great performances.
Cold Merlin in the Dragon's place.
Merlin is grateful of him.
Arthur is looking for Merlin but Gaius thought that Merlin was with Arthur.
Morgana sets more traps.
Merlin rests and regrets he hasn't listened at Dragon's words about Morgana.
The Great Dragon: "She is the darkness to your light, the hatred to your love".
How Merlin will return to Camelot?
By flying, of course!
The Dragon leaves Merlin outside Camelot.
Merlin wakes Gaius up to tell him about Mrgana's plot.
They go to Uther's room which is messy.
Uther sees dead people again.
Merlin takes action and saves the King.
Merlin can't tell to Uther about Morgana.
Cenred's huge army is marching against Camelot.
The Knights see this.
Merlin wakes Arthur up in a messy room.
Arthur demands to know where Merlin was.
Arthur is whining and throws things at Merlin.
Morgana is surprised to see Merlin alive.
She doesn't find the magical doll under Uther's bed.
She has a 'friendly' chat with Merlin.
Arthur hears the news about Cenred's army.
Merlin observes Morgana.
Arthur sits in his father's chair taking a big decision.
Merlin talks to Arthur about the decisions he made.
Arthur doesn't want to talk about it.
Merlin tells Arthur that he will protect him.
Arthur: God help me!
Morgause meets Cenred.
Gwen tells Arthur to have faith to himself.
Morgause gives a magical weapon to Morgana.
Camelot is preparing for the siege.
Merlin gets the food supplies especially Arthur's favorite breakfast!
Arthur checks the preparations and...Gwen.
Arthur sees his father for a while.
Merlin tells him it's time.
He sees the sensitive side of Arthur.
Arthur: I promise, i won't let you down.
The boys look at the Cenred's army outside the castle.
Merlin stands by Arthur.
Everyone is set ready.
Merlin prepares Arthur.
Merlin: I am not nervous.
Arthur: No?
Merlin: Because I trust in your destiny.
Merlin: It is your fate to be the greatest King Camelot has ever known. And your victory today will be remembered for every age until the end of time.
Arthur is speechless and moved.
Merlin: Just trust yourself.
Arthur: There are times, Merlin, when you display a sort of - I don't know what it is. I want to say-It's not wisdom. Yes, that's what it is.
Arthur: Don't look so pleased, the rest of the time you look like a complete idiot.
For the love of Camelot!
The enemy is closer.
The battle begins.
Uther wakes up.
Attack!
Uther goes to fight.
Merlin asks Gaius to keep an eye on Morgana.
A firebolt falls near Merlin.
Arthur pulls back his father who get wounded.
Merlin uses his own weapon to help.
Morgana slips out of Gaius' attention.
Morgana wakes up the Army of the Dead. Merlin and Morgause felt it.
Arthur is looking for Merlin again but now Merlin has a good excuse.
Arthur tries to kill the...dead but he can't.
Merlin tries to fight as well but a skeleton hand is chasing him!
Arthur orders to shut the hospital's door.
Merlin tells it to Gaius.
The Knights are surroundred by two armies now.
Gaius tells Arthur that there's no escape.
Merlin finds Morgana and begs her to stop.
When Morgana tells Merlin that he doesn't understand her, he's so clsoe to reveal his secret.
Morgana hits Merlin and attacks to kill him.
Everyone fights for his life.
Merlin uses magic to stop Morgana.
He destroys the magical weapon and all skeletons fall apart.
Now the Knights are stronger to defeat the enemy.
That didn't please Morgause and Cenred.
The next day, Merlin wants to speak to Arthur about Morgana.
But the King had an important announcement.
Uther thanked everyone and especially the one who really saved everyone.
Lady Morgana is the hero.
Merlin knows that Morgana is not kidding anymore.
Merlin: I'll be ready for her.
Merlin feels sad for her hate.
Arthur needs Merlin's 'lazy backside' again!
