A dear, dear friend left this world yesterday. I'm still in shock. It isn't fair. Life isn't fair. If anyone could have, should have, beaten all odds, it was her. This world is a poorer, colder place without her. She touched my life in more ways than I can count.

I need to go teach. I don't know how I can get through this morning.

The passing of a friend

I too, got up this morning, and asked myself how I was going to get through the day of work. I know that this was expected, but it still just hurts.

I know. I took the morning off from work, but even if I go in this afternoon, I don't expect to get much done.

I miss her already.
