Leaving For
MisCon tomorrow afternoon. I'm here at the game room printing some character sheets and doing some last minute wrap up for the RPG I'll be running Friday and Sunday. I am playing Spirit of the Century, set in the 1920s. The original Call of Cthulhu was also 20s era. IIRC there are some GURPS books more toward the period you're looking for, especially GURPS Cliffhangers. (The old Justice Inc would also qualify.) I know that one of the Hollow Earth Expedition GMs I talked to at GenCon said that he actually ran his entire campaign on the surface, since it's nominally set in the 1930s and the rise of Naziism. I don't know if there's anything really geared around the "feel" of the period, if that's what you're getting at.

I guess I should say the zeitgeist is what I'm looking for. I'm getting that with my research. The GM really sets the feel of the game regardless of the RPG source books (they can help though). Somebody else mentioned GURPS Cliffhangers. I'll have to run down a copy. I suppose what I'm looking at in RPG book is period equipment and a timeline (GURPS is great at this), so I don't have to research all this is well.
