Well, the guys have thrown me a curve on the first pitch with the characters they created on Friday and Saturday night.   My original storyline was made useless by the characters they made (not enough classic western archetypes), but I awoke with inspiration and have a great idea (I hope) to tie them together with a common motive.  I see a story

So, by 'the guys,' do you mean people you game with ... or the characters in you head? You may not be at that point of writerly insanity where you talk about your characters as if they were people yet, but I'll still like you when you get there.
