This was excellent. I could see Jane pretending everything was alright, just out with a friend, having a beer, and gradually zoning out to the nightmare she experienced just hours previously. Very good with the characters.
And, for a H/C, you had some good quips in there that made me chuckle: “No, it’s strange but they rarely complain.”

Jane is so good at maintaining a front but it's obvious Hoyt really does scare her and there's no way I could see that front staying fixed for long at the end of that episode. Besides which, if there's no Hurt, you can't get to the Comfort *g*

Thank you but I think this will be staying as a stand-alone! I am very happy that it seems to have struck a chord with people though.
