It sounds kind of like he is trying so hard to prove that he is not racist that it does not sound authentic.

He doesn't sound authentic cuz he isn't. He can claim, if here were totally naive, that he had no idea that naming his ONE child Adolf, then learning his lesson and not doing it again then changing the poor child's name. He obviously knows his history. The reason why no one names their child that name is because the name is associated with the mass murder of 8 million people. If he thinks the world is going to think that because we have a new president so things are changing so we can accept a child whose name honors a genocidal maniac, then he is not naive, he is mentally disturbed. But that is ONLY if he named his first child Adolf and then named his next one something a little more normal. Belinda Jean or something. But the middle name of the next one was Aryan Nation. That states that he is putting his feelings of white power and nazism into the names of his children to instill it into them. Both parents should be horsewhipped, not only for naming their kids such cruel names, but because they are Nazis as well ( ... )

There is no way they aren't trying to get attention. Someone would have to be a complete idiot to think that giving such names is completely harmless. They could have named the kid just "Adolf". Why did they have to add "Hitler" in there? Yeah, I call BS. And I'm frightened that someone would consider such a thing to be open-minded change.
