You're a horrible person and you should feel bad that something that was completely out of your or anyone else's control happened to people that weren't you and prevented people from doing something.

Sorry it didn't work out. Apologies for having to bail with little warning just before go-time (though it's better than seconds after starting, I suppose). I'll be there for the next (and hopefully bug-free) attempt come hell or high water.

I consider it a learning experience. I think you're right, if not for the bug I think we'd have succeeded pretty easily because I felt that we had things well in hand - until folks started crashing and then it went all to hell. Which was completely out of our control.
