Between Jims McAsturge, the perfect man Jim Sturgess and Eddie Redmayne, I can hardly keep my wits about me. It's like they are in a never-ending adorable contest and they are both winning.

School starts on Monday. Oy vey. On the brightish side, I "narrowed" my list of schools I'm applying to down to 9 (even if I there is no chance I'll get into 2 ( Read more... )

i'd help you but it's totally different here in montreal. apparently, from what i understood, we can only apply for one college in montreal but we can apply as many time in other places out of montreal :S it sucks.

That's weird -- and confusing ... Do you want to stay in Montreal or are you applying to colleges elsewhere?

Do you like where you ended up though? Or do you think you would have picked one of the other schools if you'd visited them, etc?

One of my friends visited/applied to 10 schools and I was going to ask her about it, but I can't get in touch with as she actually just started at her new university. Alas, tragedy strikes again.

Argh, college.

Hmm I'm probably not really much help with applying to schools because it's completely different here...

I visited 3, which I felt really helped because I figured out where I was more keen to go, got a feel for the atmospheres there. I applied to 4, and I only got into 1 because that's how it works here, with your grades you automatically get into the school you applied to as a first preference.

I don't think 9's a ridiculous amount, I think I was stupid in applying for so few. I mean it worked out in the end, I just shouldn't have been so over-confident.

Really do recommend visiting at least some of them though, it really helps!

Hm, I don't know which system I prefer because yours just seems so much simpler. Less stressful, maybe. In that case, I'm jealous, haha.

I feel like I've wasted so much time already when it comes to visiting. I know a few people though who didn't visit some of their prospective universities until after they applied/were accepted, which I guess I keep forgetting is an option.
