[How well he fights is not the only thing Veld looks for. While it is important, knowing how to mix spells in with physical fighting was important, but not giving up when things got hard was even more so. But there is quite a fine line between pushing toward a goal that can be finished and one that was near impossible. There was little shame in calling for backup if you came back alive, after all.
His fingers tapped against the counsel panel for a moment, before sliding over some of the keys to add to the simulator. The distant noises of a helicopter speeding in could be heard, as the beeping from Cloud's PHS would inform him of incoming Air Support.
