I have to say that in general, it doesn't really feel like you're going different paths in Praetoria. The whole thing was "YOU HAVE A CHOICE!" but they are so integrated with each other that ultimately choosing one still means you do the other.

I hope it's something that gets widened as time goes on, though.

Switching between them also doesn't work that well. Ignoring the cases where you *actually killed* the contacts from other arcs, you still get stuff like having a reporter sending you to ferret out a mystery that you not only solved in the previous tier but actually set yourself up as the big bad guy that she's trying to unmask.

That's the unfortunate side effect of trying to play all the arcs that you're able to play with a single character. I think the unspoken rule is that you're to pick a single line and follow it, or pick a side (Resistance vs. Loyalist) instead of trying to be, as one of my characters is, a triple agent gathering intelligence on both sides for a third party living in the world outside Praetoria's sonic fences.

Unfortunately, some of the arcs tend to handle plot-relevant information as if you've played through the other tracks (OOCly, at the very least). Penelope Yin's arc, for instance, makes references to the current state of her father and Metronome that make no sense if you're not familiar with what goes on in the Responsibility storylines.

Yeah, but I don't want to complain too much about having complex, interrelated stories in different contacts' arcs because I think it's a major step in the right direction. They just need to have some kind of automatic flashback system that prevents you from doing Contact B's arc(s) until you've done Contact A's.

My first time as a Praetorian I went through the Resistance, Double Agent Arc as a both a Crusader and a Warden pretending to be a Power Hungry Loyalist (trying to play both sides) the Warden path and the Crusader path are vastly different and I made some pretty interesting choices that really affected the outcome of my character's back story.

My second time as a Praetorian I ran the Responsibility arc all the way through with no deviation at all and it was a completely different experience than I had the first time. As a matter of fact the only missions the two Arcs I did shared at all was the very beginning of the Maelstrom arch the Ivy Arch and the Powers Division Team Arch. The rest was a completely different story and it was a tough one with some pretty messed up choices.
