Soooo...for that last exploration badge in the RWZ...you know, the one smack dab on the ship, do the shields have to be down for you to get that one? And if so, when is the next rikti raid on Protector, so I can try and get the stupid thing?

server: protector, pve zones, badges

Yeah, that's the tougher one. Just hanging out in the RWZ, 3especially on a weekend, is your best bet. Or, alternatively, if there's a lot of people in the zone, announcing that you'd like to join a ship raid or get one started can get the ball rolling.

Are you a member of Protector's badge channel? I'm not sure what the name of it is (I only have two characters on Protector, both fairly inactive). Announce a raid in there/ask in there if there's any raids. Get a team together and start beating on pylons (you'll want a taunter of any flavor that can withstand the ginormous blasts from the pylons). Typically, if you announce periodically how many pylons you have left, by the time you get the shields down, you've got enough people to at least survive up there. Even if you don't, once the shields are down, just pop into the center of the ship (and die :P), and you've got your badge. :) Of course, it's bad form to die on the badge and then just lay there or abandon the raid. :/

yeah, I am a member of the protector badge channel - it's pretty quiet though. I think I picked the two quietest servers to have all my mains on (Protector and Triumph). I never hear any raids announced. Oh well, at least the toon I am trying to get the badge on is an inv tanker, so I've got the taunt and damage damage tanking portion all built in.

Thanks!

If you want to try to get one started, try it on a busy time like a weekend evening. Remember that there are lots of people out there who want to earn more Vanguard Merits with which to buy shiny toys, so the more it looks like there's a chance a successful raid will form, the more people will be willing to join in.
