[The sun hadn't quite set yet and the familiar tinges of pink, oranges, and red were making a beautiful backdrop behind the young witch sitting beside a bush of flowers while a very enthusiastic snake bot helped her light up where her hands were digging. She was smiling to herself amused at the bots concerns as she pushed flowers aside and dug up ( Read more... )

[....He leaves you for ten minutes....and this is what happens.]

Digging for worms.

That's a way to put it, I suppose. You don't look as if you approve.

I'm not disapproving.

I do find it odd though.

Worms, like insects, are all part of a natural ecosystem. These plants are far too healthy to be kept without them, in my opinion. It takes very critical measurements to artificially take care of one single plant, imagine an entire park needing the same care.

That quantity is enough should surprise you.

Well, when there's a different bot for everything, what do you expect?

[And something had been niggling at him since seeing the first post. He'd been sure from the first post that she was... well... not somebody to talk to, since sh'e been so happy to vergil.

But then he'd spoke to her when he'd arrived back here, and she seemed... liek a nice girl, actually.]

.....How do you know Vergil so well?

[Dammit Dean, you're gonna make her stop trying to dig up worms, brush her hands, and text you a response.]

It's rather ingenious, don't you think? Terrifying, but ingenious.

We met in another world not so similar to this but definitely not our own respectively. Are you a friend of his as well?

[WELL, SORRY HE GOT SMITED BY AN ARCHANGEL :|]

I'm friends with his brother. The man's an ass.

....Vergil, not Dante.

[WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE ANGEL, DEAN :|]

Dante, I see. I understand most don't seem to find Vergil's short temper very charming but, he is a good person. It takes patience, I suppose.

Have you seen a pig-mole?

[The face that peaks at her is covered in dirt]

The ground stops, so... I can't keep going very far.

I'm sorry, I haven't seen a pig-mole while walking about the park.

How deep does the ground go? What's at the bottom?

Oh... th-thanks anyways...

[Now that he isn't so concerned, he's a bit shy]

I wasn't keeping track... [He never really does] It just stops.

I will keep a look out for you, just in case, if you want?

What did you find at the bottom? Concrete, harder stone, anything else?

I have found the same -- and no other explanation aside from what you have offered.

Have you, now? What else have you searched? I'm surprised not too many find this sort of information critical. I think it is.

It is not simply the park, though most evident there. There is no... life there.

[A beat.] Your name?

No life. [She repeats it] We really are alone up here, aren't you?

I'm Hermione. Hermione Granger.

It's... artificial life. As far as I can tell. It's real. But it's not natural.

[She sounds unsure of how much to divulge on this.]

It's kinda freaky actually.

I find it terrifyingly fascinating. Never seen anything like it.

I know you can simulate natural things. Like Sunlight... but... This is even more synthetic. It's synthetic life.

[She smiles with some enthusiasm.]

Terrifyingly fascinating is right.

I have heard of things similar being done before but not in such a big scale. This is very impressive. Not to mention, they keep the park in such good conditions constantly.
