((I wasn't able to roleplay for a while. Because I'm not sure where Catalyst got dragged off to last, after he got repaired, I am going to assume he is still in Metroplex somewhere, somewhat aimlessly wandering around now that the other Transformers and the humans in the briefing room are off on their missions ( ... )

*Auspex is still in the hall outside the briefing room. She sees one of the Decepticons exit the room, appearing to wander aimlessly. He carries a distinct air of... mischief. That's odd...*

Hello? I don't think I've met you.

*Catalyst stops and looks back when he hears someone trying to get his attention*

Hello? I don't think I've met you.

a female Transformer...Autobot? Neutral? She seems a bit distracted, even as she addresses him.

Now he could probably get away with hurrying off, ignoring her. For all she knows, he is just another Transformer with Important Things To Do. And of course he is. Every single thing he does is important, he likes to believe he makes a difference, even if he doesn't quite have a plan on what he's going to do next.

Maybe he'll leave the cog plan alone for the time being. Or...maybe he can make a difference for this Transformer. Oh well, he'll just see what happens next...

All charm, the Decepticon smiles says:

"I'm Catalyst. And I'm off exploring! I don't often get a chance like this. Care to join me?"

*Usually, those with the air of having Important Things To Do don't carry the additional undertones of I Wonder If I Can Get Away With Those Things, behind it. While she'd like to stay updated on the situation with the human who built the machine, she's also curious about what this Cybertronian is up to. She nods in compliance* All right. My name is Auspex. Are you from this universe?

EDC hassles... al_octane October 31 2006, 18:20:31 UTC
(( Non-essential intro post here))

"Octane, buddy, EDC wants us to turn back real bad," Sandstorm said cheerily. Of course, Sandstorm was equally cheery about a beautiful sunset or the prospect of taking on all five Combaticons single-handed, so gauging the seriousness of a situation by Sandstorm's mood was a lot like asking Dead End to evaluate risks.

"How bad is 'real bad'?" Octane yelled through the open door of his stateroom.

"About three EDC interceptors in close formation's worth," Sandstorm said from the pilot's seat on the bridge.

"SLAG! What do they want? I'm not carrying anything illegal this trip! Just French wine, Irish whiskey and some luxury textiles." Octane stormed up to the bridge of the D-36 shuttle/interceptor now known as the fast trader Von Octane's ExpressFrom one of the human-scale bridge consoles, a tall dark-eyed woman wearing a white headscarf over sky-blue fatigues looked up. "Shaykh al-Octane, not just us. They are grounding all traffic from Earth, citing planetary security ( ... )

::This is Captain Marissa Faireborne of the Earth Defense Command. This world is under a level six lockdown. All interplanetary vessels are not to enter or leave the vicinity of Planet Earth without proper screening beforehand. Please stand by.::

Marissa sighs. The details had been scattered when she'd received them, but she believes she's gotten the basic details: Rodimus is gone, we're screwed. The slave trade fit in there somewhere.

She looks back at the screen with tired eyes. When all this is over, she's taking a looong break.

Aboard the Express, Talifeyah frowns at her console. "Octane-sama, Fatima--I believe I have identified the EDC command frequencies, if you wish to break in and converse. Unfortunately, commercial-grade encryption at best--I do not have access to EDC crypto-keys."

"Octane-sama??" Octane says. "Been watching too much anime again?"

"Hai, dozo".

"Yeah, well, patch me through to this Fairborne," says Octane, scowling.

//Captain Fairborne? This is the captain of the Fast Trader Von Octane's Express. When the slag can you get us some 'proper screening' so we can leave orbit? I've got a time-sensitive cargo here!//

You sound like my ex, she thinks with a smirk, cargo-this, money-that.

//There is a situation down at Autobot City. Our officials, at the moment, are tracking three unregistered crafts supposedly holding illegal cargo.// She hopes he doesn't ask more. While serious, illegal cargo normally isn't a reason for a whole slaggin' lockdown.

Hailing all Autobots, Decepticons, humans and anyone else, we have the Decepticon High Command back! Repeat, we have the Unicronians back on Earth and fully-functional, though human.
Scavenger's tail jerked sharply, then dropped down and got tangled in his legs. He flailed as he fell, tossing the energon cubes away before he landed on them.

Bonecrusher snatched up two of them, detonated the third in mid-air with his pistol, and let the fourth fall neatly into Hook's hands. "Watch it, Scrounge. Wasn't that big an'announcement."

"Human?" Scrapper said softly. "It might be bigger than you think, Bonecrusher."
