It keeps surprising me when monsters tell hunters 'I've done nothing wrong', like, they truly seem to have hope this would help. That they have the knowledge to guess what hunter would find moral - or that their morality would mesh with the hunters'.... The old Sam would have taken it into consideration. He knew it wasn't who you were but what you did that mattered.

Sure - and this Sam alsoseemed to take it - I just meant - the monster might not have known that. It is surprising that monsters say this, hoping hunters would let them go, even if justified and right

Vampires who live on animal blood give up a lot to do so. It is a big deal to them. And if their life is on the line I'd think they would say anything to save themselves, no matter how unlikely that the hunter will consider it. Anyone would. Thinking of it that way, some vampires might even lie in a desperate attempt to save themselves.

But, storywise, this ep, I think the writers included that tidbit to validate letting her go after she told them where Michael was.

I felt that Sam was all for Bobby killing her this ep, if she hadn't had the useful info about Michael. That bothered me more than the vampire doing everything to save herself.

Aww, I'm sorry the way Sam is written disturbs.... a lot of the ways people are written on the show these days leaves out what makes them wonderful, I agree....

What I mean about the vampire is - like - people being regularly horrible towards - even gay guys. It makes sense that if a person says 'hi, this is my husband', one would say 'oh, hi'. Yet a lot of people hide their identities and families in dangerous environments. If someone was threatening them, many heterosexual people wouls say 'please, I have a family'. In many situations, gay people wouldn't think to say that, as the response is so often bad .
