First, Blood Brother, by Isis, is a wonderful story about the tribesman whom Uncle A mentions in the book. There are awesome British OCs and it just feels so vivid and makes me FEEL THINGS and, yeah, lovely. It also has art by motetus, which is beautiful and sad

I really, really recommend all of osprey's EOT9 fic! She explores some really interesting things, with lots of Cottia and minor characters.

I don't know how I've managed to miss (most?) of her stuff for this long! Now I just need the opportunity to get reading it all :)

I keep meaning to re-read EOT9, too, though I haven't read much other Sutcliff -- only Sword at Sunset and the other 2 books that follow EOT9. I didn't know about Song for a Dark Queen but, gosh, I bet it's heartbreaking.

I know a lot of the Eagle-loving people who read other Sutcliff are into Frontier Wolf, so the connection wouldn't surprise me. I didn't know she'd written a book about Alcibiades! What a prolific lady, evidently!
