i'm really sick right now so i can't write a well-worded comment but urgh. i usually don't read child!fics but yours was emotionally gripping and interesting all the way through, and as they grew up and their roles switched (from jaehwan protecting hakyeon to hakyeon protecting jaehwan) my heart broke so much. and i was about to throw a huge fit when i got to the part where jaehwan moves away, so i'm so glad you put in that last part ;~; it was so hopeful and sweet. goddamnit this was good. and it was beautifully written all the way through. thank you for writing it!
