And... why am I just realizing this now?

1. My default icon is an 12-foot tall cactus who wears boxing gloves.

Yes!! Goal achieved!! Well, considering I didn't know this was a thing to aspire to until last year! But yes, it's a retroactive realization nonetheless. Guess I'm not the, er... fastest growing bamboo in the forest? Hmm, I think I need to work on my plant-based metaphors, here... XD;;;

You forgot to mention that you cosplayed as Palmon (to my Gatomon, and I'm clearly a crazy cat lady, so there you go! Obvious, right?)

Our one plant has not been doing so hot...I just weeded out a couple of dead leaves, but I think it's still otherwise alive...? Sansevierias are supposedly very hearty, so I'm really hoping we don't manage to kill it. That would be an embarrassing failure. ^_^; (Our cats, meanwhile, are quite plump and overfed...Hm...)

That is a cute Poison Ivy pic, btw! Is it fanart or official?

Also, I saw on the news that a massive snowstorm is headed your way, so you might be getting what you wished for! Bundle up...And don't let the plants go outside. ^.^ Oh, wait...

Oh, well obviously-- but you know, cosplaying as Palmon was the only real choice given the ol' icon here, so I suppose it should be a sub-bullet to item 1 XD And hehe... kitties been supplementing their diet, perhaps? At least you're not trying to grow catnip! XD (actually, do cats even care about catnip that much? These are not things I know ^^;)

And yes! It's official (comic) art, from a miniseries that happened after the cartoon (Gotham Girls, I believe). Makes me wish I had tried to track down some of those animated-universe-inspired comics while they were coming out, but maybe they're something I'll start keeping an eye out for!

Hey, it's snowing now, actually! Supposed to dump more this weekend. Tomorrow's drive is going to be FUN! (that... that was sarcasm). Well, we'll all do our best to stay warm, anyway-- and I'll try to resist the urge(??) to take the plants out for a walk XD

It's entirely dependent on the cat, actually! Many cats react to catnip, while there are some who are genetically immune to its effects. My cats like it. They try to eat/gnaw on pretty much any plant they can get to, though (one of them even likes lettuce and spinach O-o), so we make sure to keep them out of reach. Ah, I see how my phrasing was ambiguous - Nope, they haven't been consuming the Sansevieria; they've just been on the receiving end of a lot more love from us than the plant has....Oh, it sounds so awful when I say it that way. ^^;

Nice! I really like that art, actually. Were those comics ever released in graphic novel format? Regardless, if I go to C2E2 this year, I can look out for them for you...if you tell me what I'm looking for. That con always has tons of back issues from all eras for sale. :)

Yikes! Well, if the weather is really bad, I hope your company is sensible enough to allow people to work from home. Be safe!!

Oh, interesting about catnip! I didn't know it was a genetic thing at all! One of my parents' dogs actually liked lettuce too; it was a surprise to me when they told me that! And OK. I actually did think cats = plump meant lots of love and feeding, but you never know (though of course I should have known an attentive cat mama would never let her babies gnaw on the houseplants!) :D

Yeah, I'll do some research on what exists in terms of comics and/or graphic novels and let you know what I find. Wikipedia is pretty vague on the subject and that was the first/only place I tried so far XD

And, since this blizzard is making national news, I'm sure you know about as much about it as I do. Well, we're not planning on going anywhere for a while. I have my work laptop so I can work from home pretty much indefinitely (yay...?) and we have plenty of food and such, so I'm optimistic for the time being. Just hanging out playing video games, reading books, looking at doujinshi, and watching our cars get buried in the parking lot for now! XD
