no meat, no bread

Before today, I never thought I would thank someone for giving me a wedgie. Top roping/belaying with Reuel changed all that.

That is all.

wedgie, that is all, climbing

We sell this thing called Arkanslaw at work. It's pretty good. Is there really an Arkansas cole slaw?

It's a song about Arkansas and cole slaw, not a song about "Arkansas cole slaw". I'd link you to lyrics, but I can't find them anywhere. I do have a recording, though.

hello and hi sir! __procession June 18 2007, 19:08:19 UTC
were you guys climbing or rappelling? i used to climb all the time as a youngster, but have only rappelled once in my life. IT WAS THE MOST TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE (though i participated willingly. i'm sure this says something about me). i have very little faith in my body coordination (particularly in moments of stress), and coupled with my paralyzing fear of heights, i am amazed i made it down in one piece. also, women are advised to wear restrictive undergarments because their breasts have occassionally become caught in jam cracks. :(

Climbing. I've been climbing since August, but only bouldering. Reuel's only done a little bit before and he wanted to "go up the wall", so I figured I'd try this rope stuff people keep talking about. It was a different experience, but not my true love.

The guy who gave us the belaying lesson was very confused by my being there. He figured I'd done it all before, but no! Fooled him! Seriously, always bouldering. (As I went up with a rope the first time, I heard a comment along the lines of "He climbs like a true boulderer.") One of the other guys was telling me I should get up to lead climbing and then he'd take me out for actually climbing outside. He also told me about his experience learning to rappel: he and the other guy were on top, they did the safety check, everything was in place, and then he just got shoved off.

Oh yeah, that's the good stuff.
