I've rehearsed it with my internal voice several times, but I still don't think I can beat "everyone else is working unpaid OT 12 hour days" with "I thought I'd take some time to myself on birthday to hang out with my new girlfriend and take a phone call from my brother in the Peace Corps who I haven't been able to speak to for six months"
