I loved season four! The first few episodes were a little rough but when everything started coming together it was marvelous (and in retrospect, a lot of the stuff that I had issues w/in the first few eps makes sense now). While I am sorry that there weren't more group scenes, I loved that it was one story revealed over 15 episodes and I think episodes focusing mainly on one character totally worked within the format. Also, I think this format got to highlight how much of a Bluth Michael truly is and I thought it was interesting to see what they're all like with the family split up ( ... )

Yeah, I definitely agree. I think I actually might have appreciated those first episodes more because I rewatched some of them partway through my initial watching). I know a lot of people complained that Michael was too pathetic/self serving/Bluth-y in this, but I thought it totally worked. I mean, he was pretty Bluth-y before, it was just harder to tell when he was in the context of his family.

I wondered if it was going to be a guy, too, especially after his "homo much" comment, and I'm so glad with how it worked out. I actually got spoiled about something between him and Tony Wonder before I got to that episode, but it was still surprising and hilarious how it actually played out.

Another full season would be great! I don't really see how they could just end it here with so many loose ends.

I liked Season Four, but I found it more clever than funny. The puzzle work was impressive, but I seldomly laughed out loud.

I feel like there might be more laugh out loud moments on rewatches, but I definitely had some even the first time through. I think season 4 was really cool for me because it wasn't what I expected. I was impressed that they could pull off this different formatting while still tying it to the original show (and it would have been difficult to cover all those missing years with their old format). I'm excited to see what they do when/if they make more.

I can definitely agree with you on the Gob/Tony Wonder front, because oh my gosh that was so good.

And I think the movie is for-sure a go, right now. Everybody's talking about it, including the cast, and they're saying that it's happening, so I think it is.

As for actual season 4, I didn't like it that much. There were a few really good episodes that I really, really enjoyed, but overall, it wasn't as funny as I remember AD being, and the whole way they had to film it just annoyed me. Jumping back and forth and all that, it's not something I usually like in film/TV. I think Premium Rush was the only time it didn't full-out bother me. I was definitely hoping for more. And I didn't like how it ended.

So good, right? I hope they actually stay together for a while when/if they do a movie or more episodes.

I hope so! It would be weird to end it there with all of the loose ends.

Yeah I can understand it being sort of jarring compared to the original show. Maybe it's because I hadn't watched the first three seasons in so long that I liked it so much. When I first saw the ending, I was kind of surprised that they'd left everything so open, but now I'm thinking it's a good set-up for whatever comes next.
