*sighs*. I love Melbourne. Although, if you took the graffiti away, Hosier Lane could be a backstreet in Sheffield city centre!

Do you still have cobbled lanes?

Oh yes. Many have been tarmaced, badly, and the cobbles have broken through, but the back lanes are still cobbles :). And yeah, our roads are the worst kept in Britain!

I hope Melbourne doesn't destroy them all. In the 60's the council decided that verandas should be pulled down. I guess they were never caught in a rain storm.
