WB and DC want more money so they made a tie-in DVD to the Batman movie. The idea is pretty much the same Animatrix had; basically short Batman stories done by anime directors

I will add that there was quite a bit of excitement about this on the Casstoons thread at the new Superdickery forum when someone stumbled across IMDB and Wikipedia listing Hynden "Starfire" Walch as playing "Young Cassandra" in it. Of course, there's absolutely no more information available...
