I KNOW ZIP ABOUT CAPTAIN AMERICA (I will read Civil War soon, promise promise promise!) BUT FOR SOME REASON I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS MOVIE AND OBVS THIS RUMOR JUST MAKES ME EVEN MORE EXCITED.

To be honest, no. I love Chris, but he's not quite... Cap. Captain America's got to have this sense of soldierly determination and professionalism, charisma, altruism, patriotism and approachability all in one; it's the mature soldierly feel that Pine lacks. He gives more the sense of a youngish fun guy-next-store, and even if it is an all-American youngish fun guy-next-store who may well have military leanings kind of sense, I feel it would pull the credibility out from under his feet, every square inch of which he'd need next to Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark.

Read Civil War! It's not the best Cap, characterization-wise, but at least you'll get an idea of what I'm getting at. I'm very peculiar and hard-headed about Cap because he's one of my absolute favorites, up there with Superman and Iron Man; oh please don't lose your enthusiasm for him because of this. D:

I dunno, it's all up to how Chris would choose to act as Cap if he were to take the role, but I suppose I see what you mean. The director of the film has said he was hoping to cast an unknown to be Captain America so maybe they're still going to stick with that, idk. I really just want more CPine on my silver screen, I guess. XD

I've only put off reading Civil War because college doesn't leave me with a ton of time for leisure reading, but I am planning to read it over spring break. So I'll let you know what I think of it when I do. :)
