I would just call your local Animal Control... if they can't handle it, they would likely know who could.

Ahah, somehow Animal Control never occurred to me. I called them though and they said they'll send someone over, so thanks for the advice. :]

gaaah i hate seeing helpless animals and strays. they always make me want to repent in hell.

Animal Control was A+ for this, but if you can't get a hold of them where/whenever the police non-emergency line can usually help too.

How did it run into the woods? It would have had to bolt over the fence, no?

Haha, I know, right? I feel like I betrayed its trust by calling animal control. D:

There's a gap in the fence between our and our neighbor's yard where it ran into, and that's probably also how it got into our yard in the first place.
