It might be too obvious, but I think "End of the World as We Know It" by REM and "Apocalypse Please" by Muse should be on there.

Also, something from Urinetown would be good.
Or maybe one of the depressing battle songs from Les Mis.

Apocalypse Please is on the billet, but REM is just too chipper for the set.

I can sing. I can sing high. If you need descants or harmonies or anything I'd be willing.

I can also fudge chords on a piano. Not so good at actual improving with noodley bits, but I can read sheet music too.

(P.S. we need to talk about Dr. Horrible music and stage arrangements thereof very soon.)

Listen to the first phrase in Zydrate Anatomy. I need you for that.

I'm going to have to say "Rock and Roll Suicide". Or "Five Years". You can't have an apocalypse without Ziggy Stardust.

If you need a bassist, I'm sure that Robert would love to help out... he's always looking for someone to play with.

I've got to second the Bowie- I like "Bombers," which is not well known, but is really appropriate ( ... )

Both of those songs are actually pretty reassuring when you read the lyrics, but this Bombers... what album is that on?

Elvis Costello, "Waiting for the End of the World."

Not completely off-topic, but close. Have you ever read The Ear, The Eye, and the Arm? One of my all time favorite dystopia/ apocalypse books, or at least was back in the day (yes, it's YA fiction. sue me).

waiting for the end of the world - elvis costello

might be hard to cover- but "Ride of the Valkyries?" It's in Apocalypse Now and sounds pretty much like the world is on the verge of exploding...

The Ear, The Eye, and the Arm is a brilliant book. It's been too long since I read it.

And in response to the original post, I'd be happy to provide vocals, depending on what you're looking for. My lower, tenor-ish range is stronger than my soprano, but I'd give anything a shot.

Man, I loved young adult fiction. I still do upon occasion.
