My housemate Iris is working at a science museum right now and they have a pet praying mantis. They caught a female one and a male one in the same day so they put it in a cage. They started fucking right away and kept it up for at least 45 minutes before all the staff had to leave. When they came back in the next morning, all that was left of the male was a single wing. Maybe if they'd left them in the garden things would have been different!!
