First in line at the newly established snack vendor was a happy-in-love couple looking as though they'd stepped directly out of a B-rated horror film in which they would later be torn apart and eaten by zombies. Next was a group of teens looking to cause trouble that night after a low-nutrient snack binge and behind them more customers were beginning to line up. There was, however, one "customer" who remained out of sight and was not particularly fond of standing in line or paying for his snacks.

On the roof of Lux's cart where the light's glare didn't reach, a clown lay sprawled out on his belly like a lizard waiting for insect prey to pass by. As the night's first costumers began to order at the front window, Creepy reached a white-gloved hand down into a side window, grasped a hanging bag of cotton candy, and silently dragged it out onto the roof. The next time Lux checked his wares, he might notice a few too many missing bags of spun sugar and some candy apples that were no longer candied.
