Blissfully Unaware

Alice was sitting in the middle of  a paking lot, cross legged, with her letter in her lap. She didn't much care about what the other her did at night, so long as she got those beautiful bunches of cotton candy she saw in her memories. She was more than content, especially now that she knew Jonathan was here somewhere. She knew because the other her knew. The other her had seen the Scarecrow.

There was nothing to be afraid of in this place. She didn't have to face any darkness because she was only awake in the daytime and the horrible visions of demons that danced across her line of sight were significantly fewer in the day. She had even made a new friend with a lovely sounding name that she would surely find again when she wanted to. There were no giant bats in this city and everyone was quiet like zombies.

Alice liked it here.
