Elliot told me he believes in Jesus a couple weeks ago. Jesus lives in heaven, he said. This is what I get for sending him to Christian pre-school (it was that or ship him to k-zoo) He's cool with mommy and daddy not believing Jesus is the son of God. Before bed we sing Christian songs, pagan goddess-worship songs, normal childhood songs, and imitation Native American songs. Our neighbor's boys (there are at least 3 of them, and 3 girls) have mullets.

Body hatred. I gave that up for lent. It's what I got, it kept my kids safe for 9 months. It can't be all that bad.

Detroit. The only good things there are purple_marf, Niki, Todd and Andre.

Midget did the same about God stuff. He knew from the get go about my dis-beliefs, and my whole family respected that. Even without any Christian influences it happened somehow.

So I've been working on a short story about a woman who travels from surgeon-to-surgeon, looking to make her cosmetic surgery statement by requesting a breast be implanted on her left knee, a nose be constructed on her right thumb, and an ear, complete with piercings, be molded in the center of her forehead...you know, like a (Third)Ear-for-a-(Third)Eye testimonial. What do you think...should I name this character Polly Sorbate? ;o)

i would say yes. definitely polly sorbate. and she could have a sidekick named ethyl paraben.

i've always thought that since chafe and i have tattoos and piercings ruby's going to have to get horns or a tail grafted on in order to really shock us.

It would be way easier to shock you than that. All she'd have to do would be to get some collagen injections and blonde highlights and start dating the high school quarterback.

everybody says that would be shocking, but that's sort of what i expect, just in knowing her right now...
