Hey, everybody~

A few things that we need to discuss:- Inactive characters. It was sort of voted on early in the creation of circusofwhores that we wouldn't have duplicates, the only problem now is that people that are holding major characters have up and disappeared. What do you think we should do about this? Leave them on the character list but allow doubles

I'm definitely for allowing duplicates. I think we've got a good number of minor characters now and especially with players going missing occasionally I think it makes a lot of sense. ALSO I WANT THAT NEW COHEN IN HERE STAT. So... yay, duplicates!

I don't care for a friends remove list myself. Don't really see the point, I mean, they might return *later* and if they don't it's just a name on your userinfo page and doesn't really bother anyone, just seems like keeping track of exactly how long who has been missing seems like more trouble than it's worth.

That's precisely what I was thinking. I'm also betting some anons want to play characters that are basically not being played, as well as homeless roleplayers that should totally get their asses in here.

Not really. xDDD; The comm isn't being overrun so there isn't a huge need for maintainers atm. We should totally have a sparkly banner that we can use to pimp us out though.

I suppose as long as everyone keeps "this Frank is this one and this Frank is that one" straight, then duplicates should be fine... But I guess it could get confusing.

Maybe give people a grace period of if they disappear and don't say anything about it, then they're put on an "inactive" list?

I'd make you a sparkly banner, but it'd be full of derpes. :'(

I think most of them would end up having different timelines and sort of exist from different realities? Our first Fontaine was Fontaine/Atlas, our second Fontaine was Fontaine but rarely does he pretend to be Atlas, and Atlas-not-Fontaine is a separate entity. Read: just go with it.

As far as duplicates go... I'm going to third the opinion that we should allow them, although I wonder whether there should be a rule where if a character disappears for a while they can be claimed, then if the original comes back then that one and the new one can both be in the comm? <-- that made a modicum of sense, right?

Oh, I understood that. Basically, yes, that would go under the "duplicates are totally kewl now guys" amendment to our rules.
