Girl comes in this week and I'm kinda excited about it.
Lost a day this weekend. Still have doubts it's about to be Tuesday. It's possible I'm in some alien experiment and they're now testing how humans tell time. Or deal with there time being screwed with. I hate aliens...

i overheard this guy at a coffee place last night, and he was talking about his u.f.o. theory (i was like, 'this is a conversation i must eavesdrop on!) and he was talking about how, in order for there to be space-travel from alien galaxies, spacecrafts would need to be conscious. cooool.

Yes people have yet to make a machine that can travel even 5 miles to a programed destination. Makes sense they should have some degree of intelligence but what level of consciousness would be needed for travel measured in light years? I'd think capable of first order thought, which is about as high as most animals get. Meaning self aware and give some degree of communication but no evidence they realize others think. That level of consciousness doesn't disturb me. It gets the ship where we want. Even highly social or vocal animals, parrots or monkeys, show this level of thought and they can get where they need easy enough.
Next level of thought is where they realize others think and try and make predictions on how others think. Followed by next orders of thought where they think you think they think... Evidence shows apes, and so far only apes, are capable of that. That level gets scary because they get to plot and manipulate others.
