I love this quote. I think I'm gonna start using it as ammunition against people who are rabidly anti-television, though -- because I feel you could just as easily substitute videogames, Internet forums, pulp novels... hell, even furry fandom. We do so love our swill. And meanwhile, even a medium as thoroughly pasteurized and commoditized as television will yield something capable of nourishing a soul...
