On the other hand, my objective as a writer isn't to write convincingly about that which I know first hand; it's to write convincingly about that which I write about, whatever that is. My next erotica story to come out is in Circlet's Whispers in Darkness, wherein I aspire to write convincingly of an Eldritch Horror(tm). I haven't (yet) had the opportunity for such an adventure myself, but I hope I got it right. :)

I love in-jokes in general, whatever the subject. A picture is worth a thousand words, they say; an in-joke is worth a thousand pictures, when it comes to revealing the mindset of a subculture.

I haven't had time to read any of the other stories yet, I'm sad to say. I think I have 5 stories to do edits on tomorrow (today? gods, is it 3am already?). It's funny, almost no publications for almost a year, and then everything at once.
