Summary: (Backstory thread) Sasuke rises early one morning and seeks some solitude, but doesn't get his wish for long.

If only for a litle while she was here, even that brought her satisfaction. True, she was pleased that she could be useful for Orochimaru, but nonetheless, watching the prison got boring. But she had no choice in the matter. In the end, she was glad that he had more experiments he needed help on. Well, not 'help' persay, but her 'assistance'. Whatever, it was the same to her.

She could also take advantage of this time to see him.

Which she obviously did.

He was easy to find, but then, everyone was to her. Really, give her a challenge one of these days. Karin made her way up the stairs, following his trail of chakra before coming upon a door. It was arguable that she was following him, but was it too much just to visit someone? A frown curved the corners of her lips as she pushed open the door, peering past. He was sitting with his back to the door, but he probably realized she was here. He didn't get to be Orochimaru's best 'creation' for nothing

Sasuke sensed a presence before the door opened, but he didn't turn until he heard it shut again. Tossing an expressionless glance over his shoulder, he saw who it was and then turned back, blatantly ignoring the disturbance. If she was just passing by--although he already had the feeling she wasn't--he certainly had no reason to speak to her; and if she had sought him out for some reason, then perhaps overlooking her company would make her go away.

Karin made her way closer to him, hands behind her back, red locks falling around her face. He didn't acknowledge her presence but she knew that he knew she was there. Her footsteps barely made a sound as she moved closer and her hands reached up to her glasses, taking them off. "Hi Sasuke~" She crooned quietly as she finally reached him, face turning bright red. "What are you doing up here?"

"Karin," he acknowledged flatly, ignoring the question. Other than speaking, Sasuke gave no outward sign that said he was aware of her, although he had noted each of her movements and the color in her face. "What do you want?"
