With all the drama and awkwardness that goes on, sometimes it's nice to just see these two relaxed and enjoying each other for once.
I mean, they've enjoyed each other before, but it's almost more sweet how... normal... they seem at this moment. Like two people who don't have any cares (other than Mom walking in on them)
Thanks! The way I see it, the engagement is really sort of a freeing thing for them, and for Cullen in particular. There's less the thought of The Relationship as a fragile thing, or something that they're less (or perhaps unequally) committed to. It adds a layer of security to their responses to each other, and that, I think, give them a chance to enjoy a bit of normality. (Which I like, personally.)
And hey, Wynne in the Keep? Lock yer doors. Cullen's a smart boy; he won't make that mistake again. Ever.
Hee hee, there is something wonderful about a man shaving. :D Also, I want to give Justice a hug, which says quite a lot, considering that he's a rotting corpse.

Full disclosure: I wrote the shaving bit back in February for lauresque, with the idea that it'd eventually go into What We Become. Didn't quite work out, but I'm glad it finally found a home in WWC. (And yes. Yes there is something wonderful about a man shaving. :D )
And: I'm very fond of Justice, myself. He's one of those characters that seem to reveal themselves slowly-- the more I think about him, the higher my opinion of him, and the more complex and intriguing the possibilities his character presents.
