• Convincing one's friend (adorb_eggplant) who has no clue about the fandom one wrote it in (NCIS) to beta-read anyway
• The gay nerds booth at Pride Festival
• Marching in one's 10th Pride Parade (not 10th year; I doubled up a lot)
• ...where there was exactly one protester
