...no, I'm not doing the strike. (Nor is Matt, nor or any of our RP accounts assuming the RPs don't die that day.) GJ always had ads and no one cared there. I don't give a shit if LJ has ads.
Participate if you want. I still think its stupid. With Mozilla and/or Mozilla Firefox's ad blockers (And Norton's, probably), I see only 1% of the ads

Info is on this chick's journal.
I suppose I'm just too apathetic to care.

The art thing was quite annoying. I don't know if I'd stop paying, though, I like my icons ^^;

I wish I knew the whole story behind that filter thing, but I doubt we will. I suppose we should just be happy its fixed for now.

From what I understand, even though the strike is happening directly after the removal of basic accounts, it actually isn't about the ads. Not that I give a shit about the ads anyway, since Firefox + Adblock = no ads, but yeah.

I'll be participating since I don't have much to say on any particular day that I can't say the day before or after. My posts aren't exactly time sensitive, y'know? And it certainly wouldn't hurt to participate. The worst case scenario is that nothing happens, after all, so hell, why not.

My layouts tended to get borked even with adblocker, so it is an annoyance.

To me it's less about this *one thing* and more about the endless slide of "lol whatever" LJ is. I didn't pay through the nose for a perm account to watch this shit, you know?

(Probably taking part by default as I will be on holiday)
