I don't actually know, and since this question invites a factual answer rather than an opinion, I hesitate to offer a novice point of view. Based on my limited understanding of biology and neurology, I would suspect the answer is b) or e) in the following manner: biology is fundamental and defines the framework which would exist in the absence of social structures. However, given the human mind's plasticity and the observed ability of social structures to override biological imperatives, I would suspect psycho-social processes can fine- and even coarse-tune biology.
