Eric is so fab. There's a part of me that would rather see Sookie with him. :P It would be interesting, at least.

Have you read the books that True Blood is based on? They changed the story quite a bit for the show.

The show is good (but I like pretty much everything that has vampires *lol*) and yes, Eric IS the best thing. But the books are quite different and I guess some people who do the whole Twilight / Souther Vampires comparing go by the books rather than by the TV show.

No, I haven't read the books. They never really struck my interest, at all. I only started watching True Blood because I was bored one day.

*shrug* There's just so much media hype these days, comparing True Blood and Twilight. It irks me.

Twilight>True Blood. The media is moronic. They just compare them because they both have vampires. There is nothing else those two have in common.

I kinda love you for liking Bella. I was seriously starting to think I'm the only person who does. She does have personality and it's awesome. She's not just a blank slate self-insert.

True Blood is fun to watch, but nothing brilliant. Most of the characters are flat, schizo, or cliche. Sookie is the most irritating character I have ever seen. She's selfish, has no idea what she wants, and doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities. I've read the first book in the series. I really liked the mystery aspect of it, but I didn't really get into it. I hated book!Bill even more. He has no personality. I think his character is a bit better in the show, but doesn't even begin to compare to the complexity of Edward.

I guess I can sort of see the parallel between the "vegetarians" and the TruBlood drinkers, but that's about it. I mean, where are the sparkles? :P

I really don't understand the Bella hate. I sort of envy Bella, really, because she's just such a -good- person, it's like impossible for her to discriminate or hold a grudge. I could never be like that. And even if people don't like that she had the baby, it was what she wanted, and she wasn't going to let anyone, even Edward, stop her. You can't say she doesn't stand up to him.

People are just silly, and I think they sort of want Bella to be an insert for themselves - so when WE don't like what she does, we attack her, but that's not fair.

God, I hate Sookie, too. It's sad, because I love Anna Paquin, but she's just a crap character. I looked at the books a few times on recommendation, but they never struck my interest.

I kind of like the exploration of what would happen if vampires integrated, but I don't care for the way it comes out. It could be much better. And I totally don't get how vampire transformation works in this universe, because Bill's always biting Sookie, and she's had his blood, so...wtf?

Bella and Edward, ftw.

I am apparently the only person on the face of the earth that hates the TV show. I tried watching it but it has so much canon rape in it that I just can't. I like the books just fine, fun read, but as they go on (we're on book 9 now I think) they are starting to get old and repetitive.

However, Eric and Pam remain awesome and will continue to do so.

I hate Bill. Eric/Sookie OTP baby!

*shrug* I'm not a huge fan of the TV show, but I'll watch it for kicks? I haven't read the books; they never did appeal. I think that's the way most viewers are, probably.

I love Eric. So hard. I'm very strongly leaning toward Eric/Sookie. Bill is very...blah.

The tv show makes Bill out to be much better than he really is in the books. He's a sniveling little weaselly bastard in the books. *stabs him with a wooden stake*

Eric is made of WIN in books. He's a jackass, he knows he's a jackass, and he doesn't give fuck. Pam is his right hand gal in double knit. Made of so much awesome! I really read for them two.

Sookie drive me insane.

And he's not that great on the TV show. Definite ambiguous moral character... Although I think I might have liked him better if he had been a bastard on the show. He's just a pissy, sparklepeenless Edward Cullen wannabe.

I love badasses who don't care. ^^

I hate Sookie. She's such a Mary Sue. I just wanna slap her around. Or let Eric do it.
