I'm not usually a fan of the whole "and then he woke, and it was just a bad dream" sort of plot devices, but in the case of DH, it certainly can't be any worse than what JKR already wrote as canon. So please let me add my birthday wishes for Harry to yours. Ron and Ginny are sporting dark marks and languishing in Azkaban, any children who don't have the surname of "Granger-Potter" are merely the result of indigestion-induced hallucinations after eating a batch of bad pudding, and after Harry wakes up in a cold sweat, shaking and whimpering, muttering things to himself like "Albus Severus. Aw, hell, no!" and "Please,not Ginny. Anyone but Ginny", he immediately looks to his left to be sure Hermione is still sleeping by his side. Then he wakes her up and the two shag like crazy 'til the neighbors start to complain.
