Love this post, love groupies, especially Miss Pamela. Her books and that documentary are great.

I might do that. I'd like to read a lot more groupie/muse memoirs. Other than Pamela's I think I've only read Marianne Faithfull first book. Oh and I haven't read Pamela's books "Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart," but it is literally on me shelf to be read, or "Rock Bottom."

Oh, Marianne Faithful... 'As Tears Go By...' Xim actually introduced me to her later stuff which I dug.

Have you watched the 10 part series 'The History of Rock N Roll'?? I think it was Graham Nash, but someone from 'The Hollies' admitted that 'Cary Anne' was meant for and about her, but they got shy and changed the first letter of the song.

It's funny, I like the Hollies, but they aren't in my top twenty five bands or anything, yet "Bus Stop" is my best friend and my song and at my wedding, Y and I plan on dancing to "The Air that I Breathe" (it's not our song... but out song isn't danceable LOL)

Anyway, in the "History of R & R", Marianne Faithful was told what Graham had said and she blushed and said "I always wondered.. I kinda thought so, but wasn't sure so I didn't want to embarrass myself by asking and being wrong"

Now I will have "As Tears Go By" in my head all day...both original versions. LOL
